I have been waiting for weeks to announce that we will host an inspiring speaker for the opening night event during HOME: A Birdhouse Interiors and Art Exhibition. It has been hard for me to keep it under wraps, but now I can let everyone know who it is!
If you aren’t aware of Erin Loechner, creator and editor-in-chief of the top tier art and design blog, Design For Mankind, we are first, surprised and second, thrilled to introduce her. Design For Mankind is “the corner of the Internet where Awesome hangs out. [There] you’ll find a slew of artwork, design picks, style finds, and emerging photography.” It was named by the London Times as one of the top 50 design blogs in the world and reaches 230,000 weekly readers. That’s just the blog platform! Erin herself, has a regular renovation column for HGTV.com where she catalogs her experiences as an impromptu interior designer. On top of that, her work has been featured in Glamour, Lucky, Dwell, Readymade, Nylon, Print Magazine, Apartment Therapy and The Huffington Post.
She will be discussing the importance for up-and-coming artists to utilize the Internet for promotion, networking, education, collaboration, and inspiration.
Pretty cool, right? Well, pass it on.
Here are the details:
